The Makeup Show Orlando

Last weekend, we had the opportunity to cover The Makeup Show that is held every year. It’s the largest pro-only makeup event in the United States that is dedicated to Artistry, Networking, Community, Inspiration and Education for two full days. Most people know Orlando for its theme parks and tourism. So bringing such an event to the City Beautiful allows creativity and art to be expressed by our very own local professional makeup artists. As a marketing agency covering beauty brands and more, we get to learn about the art and technique, in order to better assist our clients. We came across well established and highly coveted beauty brands such as NARS, Kevin Aucoin, Make Up For Ever, Inglot and Temptu Pro. We also learned about up and coming brands, Aesthetica, Be A Bombshell, Gleam by Melanie Mills, and more.

After making our rounds to each booth, we ran into the beautiful Cori Ann of CORBeauties Blog, while she was assisting the uber talented and sweet, 5-Time Emmy Award Winner, Eve Pearl. Surprisingly, I had the chance to sit in for a fabulous 5-minute or less demo with her. Eve Pearl’s reverse contouring technique was incredible and effortless. I love makeup and do pretty well at applying it, but this blew my mind (we’ll talk more about her cosmetics and technique in another post). I may even want to try my hand at makeup for the sake of my own personal interest. With many of the cosmetics and supplies being discounted, perusing around the conference was much harder than withholding a makeup haul from Sephora. We just wanted everything in sight! Are you a makeup professional? Did you attend? What was your favorite booth? We’d love to know.
