1. You’ve been modeling for some time now, what is your long-term goal for your personal brand?

My long-term goal, which I have already started working on, is to build a plastic-free world, Maby grocery stores and retail outlets are consuming thousands of plastic bags a day. For example, plastic many years ago was banned in California stores, however, in many states such as Florida, they still use many plastic bags. So I’m in the process of creating a charity to target people in retail stores who are using plastic and try to put a stop on it to save our world. I would like to start even my own fashion line based on climate change.

2. How long did it take for your modeling career to take off?

1-2 years. As a model, it takes a lot of self-confidence and self-esteem to be able to feel comfortable in front of the camera and really build a connection and bond with all the people you are working with. Being in front of the camera is a lot more intimidating than what it appears.

3. What made you get involved in the Ocean Life Conservation?

I got involved in the ocean life conservation through all my travels in the world. The real highlight was when I was in Bali Indonesia and I started my own candle company made out of shells and I was donating a lot of the proceeds to ocean conservation groups.

4. Who or what currently inspires you?

To be honest the world inspires me, right now our world is suffering from the overpopulation and the over-consumption of goods, there have been so many hurricanes and earthquakes lately which just goes to show that mother nature is speaking loud and clear to everyone to make a change. Right now I am very inspired to be even more proactive in my efforts to save the ocean and all the little step that every individual can take that will make a difference

5. Who/what organization do you see your brand collaborating within the near future?

Oceana.org, who I already have partnered with. They are the world’s largest ocean conservation group and I will be working diligently with them to broadcast my advice to individuals on what they can do to save the ocean and our planet.

6. Do you have any tips that would help other brands and bloggers create a meaningful experience when partnering for an influencer campaign?

I really believe that fashion and lifestyle and media and music and art and culture all go hand-in-hand with one another. I believe it’s good to be diverse and focus on all different areas to collaborate with other bloggers and other creative really enhance your product or idea.

So, there you have it! Summer shares with us her experience working with Ocean Life Conservation to help raise awareness and how in the future she would like to collaborate with other organizations. With her modeling career, it has made a great experience for Summer to build connections and brand herself with the organizations that she’s been dedicating herself to.
